Development

Now we start to get serious. The technical element of coaching rises a notch or two and the expectations are higher of kids who have been playing cricket for at least 2 or 3 years.

But we never forget why kids still want to play when they have so many other calls on their time; the fact they love playing and developing individual skills while working in and enjoying being part of a team-based sport.

At this stage we begin the process of sitting down with the kids and working out what they want to achieve and how we can help them to get there.

Performance

Really serious. We endeavour to combine broad personal development with cricket-specific skills and competences.

From competence towards personal mastery of the basic techniques. And building on a base of knowledge and understanding of the game to contribute more effectively in teams to help deliver results.

We know how that drives individual satisfaction and, where appropriate, we will seek to channel into personal goal setting and supported self-development.
